Pure Soy Wax - varous sizes available
When it comes to shopping for candles, the scent and aroma shouldn’t be the only factor to consider. Candles can be made out of a variety of different waxes, with each wax having different properties that affect the performance.
Candles can be made from paraffin wax, soy wax, palm wax, and granulated wax just to name a few. HobbiesForAll uses 100% soy wax which is perfect for making candles.
Soy wax is a 100% natural wax derived from vegetable soybeans. Soybeans are one of the major agricultural crops grown in the United States, behind only corn.
After the beans are harvested, they are then cleaned, cracked, de-hulled and rolled into flakes. Soybean oil is extracted from the flakes.
Candles made from soy wax burn cleaner and result in less soot. Another reason to choose soy wax when it comes to candles is the fact that soy wax is an excellent fragrance carrier that does not require chemical amplifiers. The result is a well-balanced true-to-scent candle.

What are the Benefits of Soy Wax?
Soot and Smoke Free
Soy wax is virtually soot and smoke-free. Soy wax candles, do give off a small amount of smoke, which is produced by the wick. By burning soy wax candles, you will no longer develop soot or smoke build up on your walls, ceiling or furniture. Not to mention your lungs!
Longer Burn Time
Soy wax has a longer burn time, two or three times longer than paraffin wax. This is due to lower oxygen requirements, and the wax's ability to burn without the need of additives and hardeners.
Lower Melting Point and Scent Retention
Soy wax melts at a low temperature. This allows for an excellent fragrance throw and scent retention. Soy wax does it on its own naturally and does not require additives to absorb the fragrance oil.
No Carcinogens or Toxins
Soy wax does not emit carcinogens, such as benzene and toluene, once again making it safer for our environment and our bodies.
Hypo-Allergenic
Our candles are hypoallergenic and should not affect people with respiratory problems.
Safe and Easy Cleaning
Because of the lower melting point of soy wax (approx. 118 degrees), the melted wax is safe to the touch. It also allows for easy clean up with hot water and soap, if necessary.
