WHY CHOOSE A GAS MELTING FURNACE?

A propane-fired furnace provides powerful, concentrated heat and can be used independently of a high-powered electrical heating circuit. The enclosed furnace design helps retain heat around the crucible while the burner provides the energy needed to bring the metal to its melting temperature.

IMPORTANT CAPACITY INFORMATION

The stated 6KG capacity refers to the applicable crucible capacity and should not be interpreted as the maximum weight of every type of metal that can be safely loaded into the furnace.

Different metals have different densities, so the actual quantity that can be accommodated will vary by metal and crucible.

For best results, do not overfill the crucible. Allow sufficient space for safe handling and for the molten metal to remain contained during heating and pouring.

• Operate outdoors or in a properly designed, well-ventilated foundry/workshop area.
• Keep combustible materials well away from the furnace.
• Use suitable high-temperature protective clothing, gloves, face/eye protection and footwear.
• Inspect the gas hose, regulator, burner and connections before every use.
• Use only the appropriate propane/LPG supply and approved gas components.
